Award: $4000 – $25000

To provide individuals of Italian descent. Qualifications: Applicants must be individuals of Italian descent in their junior or senior year of undergraduate study for the Fall 1 year before term, majoring or minoring in Italian language studies at an accredited academic institution, and individuals pursuing a Master’s in Italian language studies or Italian American studies; U.S. citizens and Green Card holders. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online nomination form; official transcripts: submit one official transcript from each academic institution attended through December two year before; test scores: submit copies of official results from all standardized tests (ACT, SAT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, etc.) taken during the past 5 years; resume: submit a current resume outlining extracurricular activities, work experience, volunteer service and honors, especially as they relate to Italian language, culture and heritage; letters of Recommendation: Submit the names and email addresses of 2 references (teachers, professors or educational administrators) who can provide a letter of recommendation; essay: Submit an original essay of 500-750 words in Italian on why learning Italian is important in today’s world and how applicants plan to use applicants Italian language degree. Focus: Foreign languages; Italian studies.
