To provide scholarships to birth mothers who have placed a child up for adoption. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, a high school graduate, a GED holder, or a current college undergraduate student who has placed a child for adoption; must be enrolled or plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year; must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Selection criteria: Preference given to birth mothers who are Florida residents and birth mothers who placed their child with a family who resides in Florida. Selection is based on academics, work experience, participation and leadership in school and community activities, unusual personal or family circumstances, submitted statement of education and career goals, and the online recommendation. How to apply: Applicant must complete the online application and submit current transcripts and the first two pages of their most recently filed IRS Form 1040. Applicant must have an online recommendation submitted on their behalf. Focus: General studies/Field of study not specified.
