To provide assistance for candidates who aspire to a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Qualifications: Applicants must be SBE member; have work experience in broadcasting engineering and interested in continuing their education in order to advance their careers; to be eligible for the Youth Scholarship, candidates must be in their senior year of high school, anticipating graduation by the spring of current year; candidates must intend to enroll at a technical school, college or university; they must have a serious interest in pursuing studies leading to a career in broadcast engineering or closely related technical field. Selection criteria: Selection will be given to those who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering and to those who are SBE members. How to apply: Application forms are available at the website; complete only the A and C sections of the application form and send together with a brief autobiography; a summary of technical changes; and a copy of recent college transcripts (if applicable); recipients will be expected to submit a technical paper of 400-500 words on a broadcast-engineering topic.
