To provide assistance for candidates who aspire to a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Qualifications: Applicants must have a career interest in technical aspects of broadcasting; have some work experience in broadcast engineering and who are interested in continuing their education in order to advance their careers; preference is given to those who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering and to those who are SBE Members; any individuals otherwise eligible, including graduating high school seniors. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit application form; should include a technical paper of 400-500 words on a broadcast-engineering topic of their choice for potential use in an SBE publication; brief autobiography which includes interests and goals in broadcasting; a summary of the technical changes anticipate in broadcasting within the next five years; a copy of current or most recent college transcripts, if applicable.
