To support women pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering. Qualifications: Applicants must identify as a woman; must be freshman, sophomore, junior, senior student; must major in: Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, Communications Engineering, Computing, Civil Engineering Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Information Engineering Technology, Information Systems and Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering Technology; must have minimum GPA for sophomores - seniors: 3.0; minimum GPA for incoming freshmen: 3.5; incoming collegiate freshman through graduate student; studying full-time (exceptions made for reentry/nontraditional students); students who are current SWE Collegiate or SWENext members; must be planning to attend a school with ABET-accredited programs; undergraduate and community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year; masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; reviewers focus on extracurricular activities, work history, volunteerism, and interest and involvement in STEM; preference given to candidates from under-represented backgrounds and candidates with financial need.
