To support women incoming freshman students pursuing degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering. Qualifications: Applicants must identify as a woman; be studying engineering or computer science full time at the collegiate level in the upcoming academic year; must be incoming college freshmen who have participated in SWENext and are planning to study engineering at an ABET accredited institution. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; reviewers focus on extracurricular activities, work history, volunteerism, and interest and involvement in STEM. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include general personal information; education information; previous school information, current school information, and intended school for the upcoming year information; transcript (unofficial): transcripts must include applicant name and GPA (preference for unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale); financial details: general questions regarding family circumstances and any additional expected funding; additional information, school and community activities, work experience, honors and awards, essay; short response answer in response to a provided prompt; reference; contact information for one reference must be provided on the application, and then applicants reference must log in to submit their recommendation.
