To recognize an outstanding African-American male or female law student that is from (born in or raised in) the state of Texas. Qualifications: Applicants must be African-American law students from the state of Texas; must be currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school in the United States; must be in good academic standing at the law school; must be either second or third year minority law students that are from the DFW Metroplex or a second or third year minority law student that attends law school in the DFW Metroplex. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on merit and primarily on financial need.
