To provide scholarship is endowed through the will of the late Kennett Y Spencer. Qualifications: Applicants must be residents of northern Alberta (as defined by the Northern Alberta Development Council), Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut; a student registered full-time or part-time in a graduate degree. Selection criteria: Recipients will be selected on the basis of superior academic achievement (equivalent to a grade point average of 3.5 or greater on the University of Alberta grading scale). How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; one copy of the completed form; a transcript emailed; evidence of original research (e.g., course paper, thesis, research paper), and reference letters (minimum of 3). Focus: Canadian studies.
