To provide opportunities to emerging aviation professionals to achieve their academic goals and contribute their talents to the aviation industry. Qualifications: Applicants must be a U. S. Citizen; sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student; must be enrolled at a university aviation association member institution in an aviation or space-related major; community college, college and university applicants; 2.5 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in aviation major coursework; demonstrates a love of aviation; demonstrates leadership; demonstrates extracurricular involvement/community involvement. Selection criteria: Selection will based on the criteria applicants who have an FAA certification as a pilot or mechanic; formerly or currently in military service via active duty, ROTC, the Air National Guard or Reserves while in school; and member of an aviation-related association or professional group such as the UAA.
