To support Vermont students pursuing certificates in lineman school. Qualifications: Applicants must be attending or planning to attend a college, university, or training program within the United States or Canada; must be United States citizens; must be current high school seniors residing in one of the following counties: Addison, Essex, Franklin, Orleans, Caledonia, Grand Isle, Chittenden, or Lamoille; must be accepted into a lineman certificate program at an accredited lineman school; must demonstrate education or work ethic; must demonstrate entrepreneurial skills, endeavors, and/or achievements; must demonstrate school or community involvement or service; must face significant barriers or obstacles that limit their access to education after high school. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on Essay and recommendation letters. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; scholarships listed on pages 6-46 require the Unified Scholarship Application (USA); each scholarship usually requires at least one additional required document; Submit required documents online through MyVSAC account; Required documents: Unified Scholarship Application, one recommendation letter 1 (non-relative, from former teacher), one recommendation letter 1 (non-relative, from former employer), and essay 1 (general essay).
