To support association members pursuing undergraduate degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be a police officer (or a legal dependent of a police officer) who is an active member of the Vermont police association; must seek an undergraduate degree; must enroll full time; demonstrate financial need; attend an accredited school approved for federal title iv funding (pell grants, federal direct loans); students attending (or planning to attend) a college, university or training program within the United States or Canada who are: United States citizens (or eligible non-citizens). Selection criteria: Selection will be based on essay and financial need. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include: federal Student Aid (FAFSA); transcript; other required documents: should be submitted on a separate sheet of paper; essays: each essay must be written by the applicant and should include the applicant’s name and last four digits of their social security number at the top; general essay: commitment/goals; financial need; community service; uniqueness (minimum 250 words); membership (provide the name of the individual who is a member of the Vermont Police Association, and their relationship to applicants).
