To assist high school seniors with obtaining vocational or technical education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a current high school senior; must seek a certificate or undergraduate degree; must enroll full time; demonstrate academic achievement; demonstrate financial need; attend an accredited vocational or technical school; students attending (or planning to attend) a college, university or training program within the United States or Canada who are: United States citizens (or eligible non-citizens); be Vermont residents. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic achievement, financial need, and essay. How to apply: Applicant must submit online application form; should include: federal Student Aid (FAFSA); transcript; other required documents: should be submitted on a separate sheet of paper; essays: each essay must be written by the applicant and should include the applicant’s name and last four digits of their social security number at the top; general essay: commitment/goals; financial need; community service; uniqueness (minimum 250 words).
