To assist candidates who wish to obtain Maintenance Technician certificate. Qualifications: Applicants must be a member of VAI; must be enrolled in a maintenance technician certificate program at an FAA-approved part 147 school or international equivalent. Selection criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; all applicants to provide the following documents: proof of enrollment - provide a letter from FAA-approved part 147 school or international equivalent's aviation school acknowledging enrollment; letter must include: representatives name; title and organization; mailing address, telephone, and email; FAA-approved part 147 certificate number; resume or curriculum vitae; 2 letters of recommendation; one from AMT school program director, administrator, or instructor with their name, title, organization, mailing address, phone, and email; one from employer, Instructor, or other who can attest to maintenance background, training, and experience.
