To support individuals attending the Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS). Qualifications: Applicants must be sworn law enforcement officers employed in the Commonwealth of Virginia who are accepted into PELS; must have a financial need and are either from a small department (35 or less sworn force) or a graduate of the Institute for Leadership in Changing Times (ILCT); not to be federal officers, civilian personnel working in law-enforcement agencies, or sworn officers employed by agencies located outside of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Selection criteria: Judging will be based on financial need, awards/honors/achievements, community/civic involvement, essay, and letter of recommendation. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include document an original typed essay 1,000 words or less. Focus: Education; Law enforcement.
