To foster access to development opportunities to 10 undergraduate students every year that display exceptional research talent and promise. Qualifications: The D.O.O.R.S. Scholarship is available to individuals who are at least 18 years old currently involved in life science research activities and currently enrolled (2025) in a life sciences undergraduate program in an educational institution based in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico, including, but not limited to: universities, community colleges, career colleges, technical colleges, or others. Eligible individuals are not required to buy Promega products or pay any fees to participate. Employees of the BTCI or Promega and members of the immediate families of such employees are not eligible. Employees of authorized Promega distributors are not eligible. This award is void where prohibited by law. Selection criteria: Entries will be judged based on academic excellence, professional promise, and display of commitment to research or industry engagement, as demonstrated in applicant's personal impact statement, research abstract, and letter of recommendation. Focus: Undergraduate Student must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major in a life sciences / biotechnology related field.
