-- The mission of Atlantic Housing Foundation, Inc. is to promote and preserve quality affordable housing and related services for low and moderate-income families, helping residents improve their lives. Our purpose is to provide housing at schools and scholarships for qualified students from lower income families to enable such individuals to find their way out of subsidized housing through educational opportunities. In doing so, we will transform communities in which we live and work. -- Atlantic Housing has a strong desire to encourage and assist students who have the potential of becoming outstanding teachers. Qualifications: -- Adjusted gross income must be less than 100% of the HUD established median family income level for the city/county of residence. -- Student must attend or intend to attend an accredited university, technical school, or certification program, including GED, Vo-tech, and/or licensing programs. -- Student must maintain a 2.5 semester GPA or passing score based on program criteria. -- Student must also maintain 20 hours of community service per semester. -- Student must be pursuing a career in education. A copy of the most recent 1040 tax return, transcript, personal essay and 2 recommendation letters will be required.
