To aid those who have been affected by a birth or childhood injury in their academic pursuits, Gideon Asen LLC established the Gideon Asen Perseverance Scholarship. Qualifications: To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must have experienced a birth/childhood injury, be a current or incoming college student at an accredited institution in the United States, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Selection criteria: A school resume, a recent academic transcript, & a 750-1,000 word essay response to the following prompt: Discuss how you persevered in the face of the challenges presented by your birth/childhood injury to pursue higher education. How to apply: To be considered for this year’s scholarship, please send your essay, transcript, and resume via email to [email protected] by December 31, 2023.
