Fair Divorce Legislation Scholarship

Through this scholarship, the attorneys at Moskowitz Law Group would like to give students the opportunity to express their thoughts on divorce legislation. The deadline for this scholarship is February 28, 2024. An amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a student who best describes their position on the subject and their reasoning behind it. In a 750-1,000 word essay, discuss whether you believe divorce legislation in your state is fair. If so, explain your position. If not, discuss how you believe these laws can be reformed to provide solutions that reflect the best interests of all parties. Qualifications: To be eligible for The Fair Divorce Legislation Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants may still submit an application if awaiting admission or deciding on an institution. However, the selected individual must be enrolled for the upcoming semester before receiving the financial aid. Selection criteria: To apply for this scholarship, interested candidates should provide the following: A current resume with up-to-date contact information. An official or unofficial academic transcript. An essay of 750-1,000 words discussing how you’ve been affected by divorce and if you believe the laws pertaining to divorce are fair in your state. Explain the challenges you or a loved one faced and how different legislation may have exacerbated or lessened those challenges.
